Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high voltage electrical systems, with a strong background in residential electrical work. Experience with low voltage and commerical electrical work is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems.
- Renovate existing electrical installations to meet updated codes and standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Utilize hand tools and voltmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all electrical work.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in electrical work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and working at heights.
