Regional Manager of Emergency Response Operations
Summary:
The Regional Manager of Emergency Response will be responsible for Emergency Responses, Logistics and Technical Services. This role will oversee small to complex projects involving industrial cleanings, waste site cleanup and emergency response for spills and environmental emergencies, building and equipment decontamination, including site inspections, and work scopes and schedules. Crew training and prep for Emergency Response.
Essential Duties:
Independently and successfully manage projects and resources from start up to completion
Provide field instruction including safety training, practice and review
Partner with the Regional Director of Operations to ensure all technicians are adhering to the Training Matrix
Provide field supervision including emergency response, industrial cleanings, special project, etc.
Maintain client relations and provide timely updates to client during active projects
Interact with local, state and federal agencies
Work with crew to achieve 100% utilization
Produce timely documentation (Field Sheets, Estimates) for internal and external clients
Effectively supervise, mentor and manage employees through project completion
Assist with ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while all company protocols are employed.
Must be willing to utilize various types of environmental field instrumentation such as air meters, water probes, a variety of pumps, and sampling equipment, as well as routinely operate tools and equipment to include generators, air compressors, pressure washers, drills, saws, hand tools, etc.
Must be able to prepare client specific or state mandated reports and forms consisting of concise project summaries, maps and figures, and analysis and data review.
Responsible for the health and safety of all technicians in region
Accountable for all field sheets and associated projects as well as their timely submission
Perform physical labor associated with cleanup activities, sample collection, waste removal and other remediation services while donning appropriate personal protective equipment.
Must be available to work additional hours as needed, including periods of time outside of the local area.
Must be willing to work outside, exposed to the elements, including during inclement weather as well as during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Will carry a cell phone and accept calls as required, including over weekends and holidays
Qualification/Requirements:
Valid Unrestricted Driver’s License
Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Excellent project management and time management capabilities required
Goal driven and detail oriented
Exemplify consistent safe, professional and ethical behavior
Strong problem solving, analytical and employee relations skills
Ability to travel, possibly for extended periods
Education/Training/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred
Five or more years progress experience in the field in environmental emergency response, environmental construction, industrial cleaning or similar industry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
