The Solomon Organization has an opening for an Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician at Chimney Hill Apartments in West Bloomfield, MI. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of six months previous experience in a related field of maintenance. EPA Type I and/or II certifications preferred. Pay commensurate with experience and certification. A Sign-On Bonus of $1,500 is being offered and will be paid $500 after 90 days and $1,000 after 180 days of employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with the diagnosing and repair of resident service requests
- Handles "on call" and snow removal duties on an as-needed basis
- Assists with apartment make-readies
- Assists in maintaining curb appeal
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Must own some basic tools for use on the job
Must have own transportation to move around the community
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work full time 40 hours per week
- 2-3 years actual hands on experience
- Ability to assess problems and solve them with a strong sense of urgency
- A high school diploma or equivalent and professional knowledge of business disciplines
- HVAC certification Preferred

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, and performing installations at awkward angles. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, dirt, and minor hazards.
