Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Pipe Foreman / Utility Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate must have at least five years of experience managing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage installations, along with a proven track record in supervising utility crews and ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role requires advanced knowledge of utility construction practices, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Five years’ experience in managing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage installations.
- Pipe Crew / Pipe Layer should have at least three years’ experience in the installation of water, sanitary sewer lines, forcemain, and storm drainage pipes such as PVC, DIP, RCP, and HDPE.
- Prioritize tasks and provide concise instructions and appropriate feedback throughout the progress of construction to completion.
- Report and track all production and progress of work.
- Reporting of production and action items under correct cost codes.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and provide corrective recommendations to the utility crews.
- Coordinate inspections with appropriate authorities.
- Communicate at all levels of the organization to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Meet project goals within deadlines and budgets.
- Understand and implement construction schedules.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards on site at all times.
- Advanced knowledge of the site and utility construction industry, such as site layout, site grading, excavation, above-ground/underground utilities, and stormwater drainage structures.
- Ability to follow a budget.
- Ability to understand and implement construction documents such as drawings and specifications.
- Manage the most efficient use of equipment and company assets.
- Interface professionally with various agencies, owners, and jurisdiction representatives.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must be dependable and willing to work 45-50 hours per week as needed.
- Must have an excellent work ethic and team-oriented attitude.
- Clean driving record.

- OSHA Training
- MSHA Part 46 Training
