Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be adept at troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, contributing to overall efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Utilize logic controllers to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Supervise maintenance staff and provide leadership during projects to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Weld components as necessary to repair or fabricate parts for machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Use tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical testing and diagnostics.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain facility aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various systems.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and management.
- Experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred.
- Familiarity with logic controllers is a plus for troubleshooting automated systems.
- Ability to weld and perform basic fabrication tasks as required.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including the use of tools like an ohmmeter for testing purposes.
- Competence in residential painting techniques is advantageous for facility upkeep.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to maintenance challenges.
