ROLE SUMMARY
The Plumbing Technician at Wyman Plumbing & Mechanical provides excellent customer service as the face of plumbing solutions. The Wyman difference delivers experienced plumbing technicians who are passionate about workmanship, taking pride in exceptional outcomes. The Plumbing Technician is self-motivated with the ability to apply their skills and knowledge in the assembly, installation and repair of drain and plumbing systems in a pursuit of reaching our goals as a team.

OBJECTIVES
- Service and maintain a variety of residential and/or commercial plumbing systems
- Assess requested plumbing scope and present repair/replacement by educating the client on multiple options so that they can make a decision that is best for them and their needs
- Communicate with dispatchers on job status
- Properly complete invoice descriptions, collect signatures, take/upload photos, start/stop job time, and collect payment through dispatching app
- Work as a team to meet goals and satisfy customers
- Complete assigned daily job requirements with the utmost safety, quality and productivity
- Communicate as needed with the service manager
- Clean and maintain company tools, vehicle, and equipment used
- Clean work area prior to leaving customers location ensuring
- Perform tasks in a professional and code approved manner
COMPETENCIES
- Basic plumbing skills required including having experience servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and installing water heaters, toilets, sinks, faucets, drains, garbage disposals, valves, pipes, drains, etc.
- Knowledge of all tools, equipment, and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the residential service side of the plumbing industry
- Experience with the following: leak locating, sewer cameras, installing gas lines and LP, sump pumps, ejector systems, commercial plumbing, smoke testing and water treatment
- Ability to re-pipe or re-plumb a home including fixture installations without help (Preferred)
- Tools required to include: Angle Grinder, Sawzall, Basin Wrench, Shop-Vac, Multi-meter, Cartridge Puller
- Professional attitude and customer service skills to provide a WOW experience
- Strong problem-solving skills in order to troubleshoot a plumbing issue
- Demonstrated work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work alone or with a team, and with the skills to lead a team when necessary
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Service Plumbing Technician role
- Minimum 2 years of experience with use of a dispatching app
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Pass a background check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Will be in proximity to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations
- Wear safety attire when required, such as goggles or other protective clothing
- Must be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
