U.S. Water Services Corporation, a well-established and diverse water and wastewater utility operations, maintenance, engineering, and construction services corporation, has an opening for a full-time Electric Motor Repair Technician in Tampa, FL. U.S. Water is a fast paced and rapidly expanding company headquartered in New Port Richey, Florida with a current staff of over 750-plus employees in twenty states.
Jr. Electrician primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in wiring and assembling custom control panels according to schematics and layout drawings
- Support senior electricians with conduit installation (EMT, PVC, and Rigid) both indoors and outdoors
- Perform light trenching and site preparation for electrical installations
- Troubleshoot electrical components and systems under supervision
- Test and verify control systems to ensure functionality and safety
- Organize and maintain tools, materials, and workspaces to ensure efficient operations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of electrical experience or relevant technical training (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and schematics
- Experience with tools such as wire strippers, multimeters, and drills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Familiarity with control panels and PLC systems is a plus (but not required)
- Will require some travel (Appx 50%). Will be working between the shop and the field
