Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial electrical work, with a strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining electrical systems that ensure safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial buildings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand electrical layouts.
- Ensure compliance with NEC standards and local building codes during all installations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrician, preferably in both residential and commercial settings.
- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and construction site safety practices.
- Familiarity with logic controllers is a plus.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $25.50 per hour
