Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols. As a Solar Installer, you will work closely with our project managers and clients to ensure high-quality installations that meet industry standards.
Duties
- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground mounts according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during installation.
- Utilize hand tools and electrical testing equipment, such as voltmeters, to perform installations and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate roof conditions and structural integrity for solar panel installation.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe construction site environment.
- Perform low voltage wiring tasks as required for system connectivity.
- Plumb solar panels accurately to ensure optimal performance and alignment.
Requirements
- Experience in electrical work or construction is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards related to solar installations.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to work at heights on roofs safely.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools used in electrical installations.
- Previous experience in a construction site environment is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
