Performs repairs, troubleshooting, routes and preventive maintenance on various equipment, buildings, and utility systems using one or more craft trade skills. Maintains records of materials, jobs, and other pertinent information. Notify management of all recognized equipment repairs. Clean and maintain equipment and work areas. Applies basic craft knowledge and skills by following work instructions to: Repair or replace ceiling grids and tiles.
HVAC initial response for hot/cold calls, odors, exhaust issues, repair or support to replace equipment, etc. Plumbing initial response to unclog water closets, sinks, shut off fixture stops, use sewer machines on floor drains, replace faucets, valves and fixtures, etc. Electrical tasks such as clean/replace light diffusers, replace lamps and ballasts, switches and receptacles, etc. Assist with preventive maintenance as required by the assigned tasks. Manage all assigned work orders to be completed as per schedules.
All completed work meets professional standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety in accordance with work instructions Knowledge about the building and utility systems. Engage in collaborative efforts by team members from all craft shops to resolve problems and repair/upgrade deficiencies in the utility systems. Interprets and works from instructions, blueprints, sketches and diagrams in the installation of electrical systems. May coordinate the workflow of technicians and mechanics. May assist with outage Investigations. Participates in process improvement initiatives.
Respond to customer calls and provide customer services. Communicate on an ongoing basis with customers and clients to determine current status of deliverables and to learn about customer needs.
Provide complete information to accurately document corrective action, labor hours, and materials used on work orders.
Timely communication to supervisor of any other issues encountered during the performance of work.
Emergency responses for facilities including code red alarms.
High school diploma or equivalent. Two years experience in one or more crafts (i.e. - plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, instrumentation)
