Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, particularly in industrial settings. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. The Industrial Electrician will work with various tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels
- Perform safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions
- Competent with the configuration of VFDs
- Must possess a demonstrated ability to safely utilize a forklift and highh-liftt
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLCs
- Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Proficient in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megaohm meters, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Utilizing a systematic approach to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and avoid replacing parts.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role in an industrial environment.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
**MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE DAY SHIFT (7AM-7PM), NIGHT SHIFT (7PM-7AM), AND WEEKENDS. ABOUT 10-20 HOURS OF OVERTIME WEEKLY.
