BECOME A JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN AT PRIMEFLIGHT!
Our Journeymen play a vital role in assisting with the maintenance of the daily operations. As a Journeyman Electrician specializing in industrial service work, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance and safety of machinery, including motors, control systems, and lighting. You will troubleshoot electrical issues, conduct routine inspections, and collaborate with other trades to support production goals. A strong understanding of electrical codes, blueprints, and safety regulations is essential.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A JOURNEYMAN ELECTRICIAN
- Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, stationary and power equipment, components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints
- Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc.
- Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints
- Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical
- Receive and complete work orders
- Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates
- Maintain accurate records on material and labor used
- Maintain inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and materials
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean
- Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects
- Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures
- Respond to emergency calls as needed
- Provide excellent Customer Service
- Ensure proper and timely fueling of aircrafts
- Complete various reports on aircraft weight and balance with accuracy
- Brings their “A” game every day with energy and enthusiasm, respect for their team, and the highest regard for safety
- May be assigned other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Must hold a valid Journeyman or Master electrical license in the state work is preformed
- Current with continuing education requirements
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus (unless required, list as required)
- Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
