We are currently in need of an HVAC Service Technician to process and analyze warranty status and approval, troubleshoot technical service calls over the phone, diagnose and repair heating and cooling equipment in house, assist with Quality Control as well as work directly with component vendors to process manufacturer’s warranty. The successful candidate will be looking to use their HVAC education and skill sets, but primarily in an office environment. This is the perfect position for an HVAC technician who wants to transition to a less physically demanding office position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process distributor warranty requests
- Analyze returned warranty items
- Monitor returns and warranty email
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment over the phone
- Monitor warranty trends
- Communicate with vendors and return vendor defective parts for credit
- Service and repair of returned in-warranty equipment when necessary
- Provide backup assistance to quality control inspecting manufactured products.
- Provide assistance as needed for specific jobsite field visits.
- Assist customer service with parts calls.
Qualifications
- Formal training (College or Technical School) in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (ACH-R)
- Proven experience in field service as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
- Universal EPA certification.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand schematics related to HVAC systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
