Job Summary
The Pre-construction Manager plays a critical role in the planning and execution of commercial and industrial construction projects. This position involves overseeing the preconstruction phase, ensuring that all project requirements are met, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong estimating, sales and project management skills and a deep understanding of construction processes, enabling them to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preconstruction process by coordinating with architects, engineers, and clients to define project scope and objectives.
- Conduct thorough blueprint reading and analysis to identify potential issues before construction begins.
- Prepare detailed construction estimates using Fastpipe and Fastduct estimating software to provide accurate estimates and budget.
- Establish strong relationships with GC's, which will require office visits.
- Build solid relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with the construction management team to ensure seamless transition from preconstruction to construction phases.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices throughout the preconstruction phase.
- Maintain organized documentation of all project-related information for future reference.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and software like FastPipe and Fastduct.
- Excellent blueprint reading skills with attention to detail.
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams including contractors, clients, and subcontractors.
- Strong analytical skills for assessing risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Strong desire to sale plumbing and HVAC installation projects.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
