JOHNSTONE SUPPLY of Independence MO, a member of the nation's largest wholesale HVACR cooperative is looking to expand our operations. We are currently looking for successful counter sales and service associates with proven history to help develop our rapidly growing heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration businesses in the Kansas City market.
Job Description Full time Counter Sales and Service Associates report directly to the Branch Manager. Telemarketers need not apply. The workweek will require you to be here during store hours. Starting wages are commensurate with experience.
- Have minimum 1 years demonstrated counter-based sales experience in HVACR industry or equivalent field. Wholesale experience strongly recommended.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to consistently build relationships and professionally represent the Johnstone brand.
- Identify, qualify and sell to new and to existing accounts.
- Proficient in the use of technology including the ability to use computer Point of Sale systems (POS), email and internet-based research.
- Delivery parts and equipment throughout the KC Metro area
Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Self-starter who is honest, loyal, tenacious and energetic.
- Capable of working well as part of a busy professional team.
- Dependable highly organized work habits with capability to multi-task and maintain focus while prioritizing needs of several customers at once.
- Excellent telephone, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills that will often require attention to detail.
- Neat, professional appearance at all times.
- Must have a clean driving record.
