HVAC Technician Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Technician must establish & maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and face to face.
- Perform maintenance, and service requests as needed of commercial HVAC systems, including: Rooftop Units, Splits, Chilled Water Units, VAV Boxes, DDC Controls
- Communicate with Project Manager of service findings. Coordinates with team service department and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on-site installation and repairs by extensively examining building layouts, forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on-site work. Uses technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company issued and procured assets.
- Organizes and complies with all pertinent documentation needed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to successfully manage the businesses required reports. Displays team effort and dedication to customer by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iphone). Valid Driver's License with no major traffic violations, suspensions, or DUI's in previous 5 years. EPA Certification.
- Able to Work on Splits/Dx Equipment
- Able to Work On Pumps
- Able to Work On Chillers/Packaged Equipment
- Availability To Work Nights/Weekends May Be Necessary
Minimum Requirements
- 5 Years Experience
- Vocational Or Technical School
- Able To Read, Write and Speak English (REQUIRED)
- Able To Speak Spanish Desired But Not A Must
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Clean Driving and Criminal Background Records
- Ability to Work Overtime/Weekends
