Sales Center Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
Position Overview: The Sales Center Manager is responsible for overseeing sales and operations at one of our clients established wholesale HVAC distributorships, which offer a range of equipment, parts, and supplies. This role focuses on efficiently managing daily operations and driving the success of the Sales Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine and monitor inventory levels, manage showroom merchandising.
- Oversee inventory management to ensure proper turnover and minimize losses.
- Stay updated on technical developments and product changes, monitor competitive threats, and discuss strategies with the Regional Manager.
- Manage the Center’s profit and loss (P&L) statements.
- Recruit, hire, train, and lead a talented workforce.
- Supervise and manage teams across various functions including Warehouse, Receiving/Shipping, Delivery, Fleet Drivers, Showroom, Warranty, Counter Sales, and Inside Sales.
- Engage with customers, salespeople, and vendors.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with contractors, customers, and employees.
- Coordinate training programs and company/center events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in a similar field.
- 2-4 years of operational experience in the HVAC industry, particularly within wholesale HVAC supply operations.
- Strong knowledge of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
- Proven track record in sales, operations, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Experience in managing and mentoring employees, setting and achieving business goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including sales, problem-solving, and customer service.
- Ability to read and interpret P&L statements.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn, teach, and lead.
- Mechanical or technical background preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
