HVAC Service Manager Job Summary
We currently have an open position for a HVAC Service Manager. We are looking for an experienced and results driven individual to help build and lead Mighty's HVAC Service department in an efficient and profitable manner, and in turn help us better serve our customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, train, and improve HVAC Field Technicians.
- Work with the Dispatch team to make sure the right technician goes to the right job.
- Manage annual HVAC Service Department budget, control expenses, and meet or exceed gross margin goals.
- Become comfortable with our service system (Service Titan) and learn to utilize its data and reporting to effectively monitor staff performance on a per job basis.
- Bring more energy than you take, because you will set the tone every day for the entire department.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by addressing any questions, concerns, or issues the customer may have during a service/installation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and leverage for improved pricing and additional training opportunities for team.
- Inspire technicians to hit their goals.
- Train, develop and hold your team accountable through established KPIs and sales/revenue goals.
- Assist in building and maintaining departmental pricing for provided services.
- Hold weekly departmental and 1-on-1 meetings with technicians to build rapport and coach towards expectations and goals.
- · Ensure all work is performed to industry standards and technicians maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times.
- Hold staff accountable and maintain responsibility for their practice of company policies and procedures, including timekeeping, job record keeping, and payment collection.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agencies, and company directives as related to operations and workplace safety.
- Maintain employee engagement and promote a positive company culture by living the values of our company.
Job Requirements
- Excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in a HVAC leadership and/or manager role.
- Possess the ability to inspire both personal and professional growth within your team.
- Ability to drive team performance to achieve all business goals and objectives.
- Strong work ethic and self motivated
- Ability to ensure policies and processes are being followed.
- Ability to utilize computer, smart phone and/or iPad for interaction with sales system. Service Titan Experience a plus!
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Clean appearance
- Timely and dependable
- May be subject to drug testing and/or background check.
