As our next HVAC Project Manager, you will manage our HVAC techs in the field with the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC-related Work Orders for Single Family Rentals. This role requires someone with technical knowledge of HVAC systems, construction processes, and project management principles as you will manage the scope of work, budget, and timeline for these projects. Your focus will be on providing stellar service and completing high-quality, low-cost repairs.
Our HVAC Project Managers work in the office, are comfortable spending the majority of their time working from their computer, and are able to multitask by communicating updates via phone, text, and email to ensure their Work Orders are being managed efficiently. They address ongoing escalations and follow-up on existing orders all remotely from our office.
This position reports into the Head of Emergency Services and will be based in our Dallas (Addison), TX office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What You Will Do:
- Project Manage a high volume of HVAC related maintenance Work Orders
- Plan and execute a management plan and schedule specific to each Work Order, working with on-site contractors to drive great resident experiences
- Provide clear and concise direction and labor negotiations to our contractors using your in-depth understanding of HVAC
- Oversee costs of labor, equipment and material to ensure the project stays within budget, on schedule, and meets Stellar quality standards
- Work primarily from your computer, and be comfortable with learning new software applications to manage your day efficiently
What You Will Bring:
- 3 or more years of experience working in Residential Home Maintenance, Project Management or similar experience within the Real Estate/Property Management space - specifically in HVAC
- Universal EPA Certification
- TDLR Registered HVAC Technician
- Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, flooring, appliance, landscaping and irrigation systems is a plus, but not required
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and high-performance standards
- Good communication skills (both oral and written) and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Must be comfortable scheduling and working directly with HVAC Contractors remotely
- Must be able to work in a high-energy team and office environment while being self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Must be able to multitask, pivot, prioritize, and work autonomously
- Strong Computer Skills
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Calendar, and more) is a plus, but not required
