We are currently seeking to fill the position of Trade Ally Manager II – HVAC Specialist at i3 Energy, LLC, a subsidiary of Staples Energy, LLC.
Job Summary:
As a Trade Ally Manager II – HVAC Specialist, you will contact, enroll, train, and work with contractors to install energy efficient measures for customers throughout Northern Illinois. Measure knowledge specifically in HVAC is needed. Extensive knowledge of the energy field is required and certification as an HVAC professional or other industry certification is expected. The individual in this position will need to clearly communicate with contractors and customers, which includes logging of customer and contractor data in program databases (Salesforce, for example). This position is part of a team and may require employee supervision in order to achieve programmatic results.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support for HVAC as well as electrical, refrigeration and compressed air in energy efficiency programs.
- The team has experts in refrigeration and electrical and is looking to expanded its HVAC knowledge
- “Sell” program allies (contractors) on the benefits of participating in the program.
- Enroll and train contractors in program delivery.
- Conduct quality assurance site visits to ensure program allies are delivering program properly.
- Generate customer leads for program allies.
- Oversee the work of additional field inspectors and follow up with program ally on any customer satisfaction or quality assurance issues that arise.
- Assign customer leads to participating program allies.
- Track program allies (contractors) training, projects and quality.
- Oversee customer satisfaction phone calls and reporting.
- Interface with product vendors to track equipment specifications and delivery.
- Track program ally progress and success rate.
- Organize files and reports for immediate access.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in sales.

Education and Experience:
- College Degree or High School Diploma with experience in this field
- 7+ years’ experience working in energy efficiency program, with specific expertise in HVAC.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Drive and sit in a vehicle for extended periods.
- Travel will be required and is essential to the success of this position.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
