This position will cover the northern and northwestern Illinois areas and will report to the VP of Sales & Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed established sales and profitability targets. This objective is accomplished through a combination of activities including calling on established dealer customers and establishing new accounts to ensure all targeted market segments are effectively covered.
- Has complete knowledge of all assigned product lines. Keeps current on all new product offerings and product changes within assigned product lines. Assists in providing sales and product training to key dealership personnel as requested by the customer. Knows what equipment, systems, components and controls are best suited for various residential and light commercial project applications.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide solutions to customers needs in a winning fashion. Adequately respond to a variety of requests from customers such as sales and marketing assistance, pricing recommendations, etc. Acts as a resource of ideas to dealers on how to promote and sell assigned product lines. Is aware of all merchandising support materials and programs available from the manufacturers of assigned product lines.
· Plan, organize, maintain, develop and grow a profitable, volume-driven base of dealers. Ensure that each member of the dealer base is completely aware of the features and benefits of BASE Solutions and the brands and product offering it provides.
· Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond
· Develop market expertise including monitoring the competition, sales trends and marketing strategies within assigned region.
· Helps dealers establish effective sales and marketing plans to best utilize coop dollars made available to them.
· Generate additional sales of parts and supplies in assigned territory
Skills:
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills with the ability to generate new business
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferred
- Ability to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIs
- Knowledge of HVAC products, services, customers and market trends is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
Qualifications:
- HVAC and/or technical selling experience preferred
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred for this position
- Product knowledge (or the ability to quickly learn it)
- 3+ years experience in the industry or related industry

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
