Global Power Group, Incis a Civil, General and Electrical Contractor that specializes in standby generators, diesel engines, UPS’s, etc. We’ve been servicing the Southern California area for over 15 years. We are looking for detail-oriented, high-energy, self-motivated, honest, and hardworking individuals in San Diego and surrounding counties.
The field service technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventive maintenance and perform start-ups on Generator equipment (Diesel engines). This position reports to the Service Manager.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Trouble-shoot problems.
- Diagnose problems Perform repairs.
- Process required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Responsible for communicating repairs needed to Service Manager.
- Responsible for parts inventory on service truck.
- Responsible for tracking time every day
- Responsible for keeping a clean service truck
- Willing to participate in the responsibility of a 24/7 on-call-technician.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALITIES:
- Willing to travel sometimes over night or over a week.
- Good organizational skills
- Able to work well unsupervised
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer relation skills
- Self motivated
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge on the basic workings of a diesel engine.
- Experience working with power equipment for a minimum of two years preferred.
