HVAC Installer responsible installing, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and commercial buildings following manufacturer specifications and adhering to safety regulations, which includes tasks like installing ductwork, connecting electrical wiring, and testing system functionality to ensure proper temperature control and air quality within a structure. Key responsibilities of an HVAC installer:
- Installing new HVAC units, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
- Fabricating and installing ductwork to properly distribute air throughout the building.
- Installing and connecting refrigerant lines, electrical wiring, and other necessary components.
- Mounting and securing HVAC equipment according to specifications.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of HVAC principles
- 5+ years of experience
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools specific to HVAC installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
- Physical stamina to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and lift heavy equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (may be required)
- Relevant HVAC certification or license
