About Us: a leading Commercial HVAC contractor operating in the greater Austin, TX market. We specialize in providing high-quality HVAC installations for “plan and spec” new construction and renovation projects. We are actively seeking the right person to join our team for an inbound sales role.
Job Description:
As a Commercial HVAC Salesperson, you will play a vital role in supporting our current client base and developing new opportunities in the Austin, TX market. The ideal candidate is experienced in estimating and negotiating commercial "Plan and Spec" new construction and renovation projects. You should have a general understanding of forced air DX systems, including split systems, RTUs, VRF, DOAS, AHUs, and WSHPs, along with their installation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, qualify, and pursue inbound bid solicitations.
- Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for HVAC projects.
- Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to understand their specific needs.
- Maintain and develop relationships with general contractors, engineers, and other industry partners.
- Stay up-to-date with local building codes, ASHRAE, and IECC standards.
- Read and comprehend mechanical blueprints and specifications.
- Collaborate effectively within a team or work independently as needed.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including safety protocols.
Preferred candidate attributes:
- Previous sales experience in the HVAC or construction industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with reading and understanding blueprints.
- Experience using Trimble AutoBid (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with local building codes, ASHRAE, and IECC standards.
- An acceptable driving record and criminal background check.
