You will construct electrical, instrumentation, and control systems in water, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated facilities.
Duties:
- Working as a Apprentice Electrician, this is a hands-on role.
- Supervise a team of employees, subcontractors, and labor pool personnel following company policies and requirements.
- Maintain work schedules, report logs, and daily journals of project activities.
- Hands-on electrical construction of electrical, instrumentation & control systems (in water and wastewater treatment plants), pumping stations, and associated facilities.
- Run conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations.
- Install, maintain, test, assess, and fix a variety of electrical systems and parts, such as motor control circuits and automation systems.
- Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and the company electrical superintendent for the completion of projects.
- Plan new or upgrade installations with blueprints and job orders consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Requirements for this position include:
- Professional individuals and high ethical standards
- 5 years of industrial or commercial electrician experience
- Texas-licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and safe driving record
- Weekly travel: typical four-ten-hour workdays; overnight stays at the project site; home on Fridays and weekends.
- Experience with all types of construction equipment, including trenchers, backhoes, excavators, and lifts.
Plus:
- Instrumentation and controls background.
- Experienced climbers for installing equipment on elevated water towers and antenna towers up to 200’.
