Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The HVAC Technician will perform field service maintenance and emergency repairs on telecommunication and data center HVAC equipment. The equipment consists of Marvair and Bard wall mount units, Carrier, Trane, Goodman residential split systems, McLean outside cabinet units and outside air economizer systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems according to specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot HVAC/R issues by interpreting schematics and technical diagrams.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
- Perform appliance repairs related to HVAC systems as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations during all service work.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system performance and recommendations.
- Document all service work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other technicians on complex projects or when additional support is required.
- Willing to work nights and weekends on a rotating on-call team to respond to emergency calls 24/7.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen.
Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics related to HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in field service operations.
- Experience in appliance repair is a plus, enhancing the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
- Familiarity with design principles for HVAC systems to optimize efficiency and performance.
- Ability to perform property maintenance tasks related to HVAC installations or repairs.
- Knowledge of refrigerant handling practices and safety protocols.
- Welding skills may be beneficial for specific repair tasks or system installations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school Diploma
- HVAC School: 200 Hours Minimum
- Valid current driver's license and driving record that meets company standards required.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
- 150 Electrical Code hours, 4000 work hours
