As a General Manager, the Houston Team is counting on you to:
- Manage 100-120 employees
- Oversee $23M in Sales Volume & 16 Stores
- Be flexible to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays
General Manager Key Accountabilities:
- Managing all stores in line with the company’s short and long-term goals.
- Working with the Senior Vice President and Vice President to set revenue, expense, and profit targets, as well as inventory levels for the shops.
- Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, training, and mentorship to maximize productivity and foster a positive work culture.
- Reviewing sales targets for each shop, category, and brand compared to previous periods and the budget.
- Champion the Avolta brand by driving brand visibility within retail locations and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are consistently met.
- Oversee financial performance by managing budgets, controlling expenses, and driving revenue growth to meet or exceed profit targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Airport Authorities, vendors, and regional partners, to enhance store performance.
- Conducting performance evaluations and setting goals, ensuring a positive work environment in all shops.
- Managing the P&L for all operations.
- Analyzing monthly KPIs, income statements, and balance sheets, and controlling exchange rates.
- Collaborating with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Marketing teams to ensure proper store levels, assortments, and marketing support for maximum sales and profit.
- Working closely with ACDBE Partners and their management team to provide operational reports and obtain annual certification.
- Contributing to a positive work environment through professional interactions with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
General Manager Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or above
- 3-5 years retail management experience
- High level – High Volume retail experience
- Multi- Unit management experience
- Knowledge of the retail or consumer goods industry
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and motivate employees
- Solid knowledge of travel retail conceptsExperience in managing multi-unit/multi-category retail business
