Position Overview:
We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team as a Residential Installer. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential properties throughout the Twin City Metro Area. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to delivering outstanding service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential buildings, including lighting, outlets, wiring, panels, and home appliances.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely, effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other contractors and tradespeople to ensure smooth, coordinated installations.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, explaining electrical issues and solutions in a clear, understandable manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician license (State of Minnesota).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in residential electrical installation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Proficient in using electrical tools, testing devices, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with smart home technology installations.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and green technologies.
- OSHA certifications or other safety-related training.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
