Job Summary
LDSS is seeking a highly organized and proactive Secretary II to provide general office support to our federal government client's Office of the Technical Director (OTD). Applicants must have experience and a knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and requirements; various office skills; and the ability to apply such skills in a way that increases the effectiveness of others. A hybrid position, the selected individual will provide seamless support while working both in-office and remotely.
This job requires you to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Clerical Support:
- Create, proofread, and edit a variety of documents, including letters, memoranda, reports, and forms ensuring proper format, style, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
- Manage electronic files in compliance with Records Management guidelines.
- Assist with travel preparations for Board staff, including obtaining authorizations, vouchers, reservations (using a travel management system), and overseeing trip reports.
- Enter information into the Board's time and attendance system, validate timesheets, and process corrections.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, manage calendars, and manage conference room reservations.
- Prepare transmittal letters for documents sent to Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Classification, maintain tracking databases, and process documents upon their return.
- Prepare and process training requests, and provide general office support such as photocopying, filing, and mail handling.
- Assist in maintaining and updating organizational charts, phone rosters, and related documents.
Skills Needed:
- Proven experience in administrative support, including managing calendars, preparing travel documents, and assisting with meeting logistics.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office management tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Must have an active Public Trust clearance or higher.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
