We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee our parts department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management, sourcing, and customer service. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts inventory, supporting our service teams, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Duties :
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient workflow.
- Oversee sourcing of parts and materials, maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of cost-effective, quality auto parts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their parts inquiries and orders, focusing on building long-term relationships with prospective big clients.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving processes to ensure accurate tracking and timely distribution of parts.
- Implement effective warehouse management practices to optimize space utilization and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with the service department to support equipment repair needs and ensure availability of necessary parts.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including incoming shipments and outgoing orders.
- Train and supervise staff within the parts department, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Leverage background in marketing and advertisement to promote the parts department and enhance sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role within a dealership or HVAC environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including sourcing, shipping, and receiving.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with equipment repair processes is a plus.
- Ability to fabricate components as needed for specific repairs or projects.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory records.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant technology.
- Proven skills in negotiation and purchasing to secure quality auto parts at competitive prices.
