The Role:
We are in the search of an experienced and dedicated General Manager for our Self-Perform Concrete division in Florida. This crucial position is key to the success of our projects, ensuring high standards of quality and strengthening our client relationships. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of concrete construction, outstanding leadership abilities, and a strong commitment to safety and excellence. With a solid track record in the industry, the General Manager will drive innovation, encourage collaboration, and uphold our company’s reputation as a leader in construction. Additionally, this role is vital in strategic decision-making to ensure alignment with our organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Work Acquisition and Client Management:
- Actively expand our network of connections with developers, general contractors, architects, engineers, partners, and community figures.
- Promptly address client questions and concerns to ensure top-notch customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with the business development team to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
People Development:
- Recruit key personnel and advise on all concrete self-perform hires.
- Develop organizational structures and staffing plans for the group.
- Oversee and manage the administrative and support functions of the team.
- Implement strategies for developing business development proposals aimed at winning new concrete self-perform projects.
- Assist in creating our marketing materials, including corporate capability brochures, award submissions, advertisements, and presentations.
- Support job tracking and CRM initiatives.
Project Management, Quality, and Safety:
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of concrete projects according to company standards.
- Coordinate effectively with project stakeholders, company management, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Monitor project progress to ensure on-time completion within budget.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures to maintain our reputation for excellence.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
P&L Management:
- Forecast and maintain NOI projections.
- Prepare revenue and income projections.
- Plan and manage G&A.
- Oversee risk management.
- Manage cash flow.
- Handle contract negotiations within prescribed limits.
- Coordinate legal matters as needed.
Contract Management and Risk Management:
- Review, negotiate, and finalize contracts to ensure favorable terms.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations to minimize financial and legal risks.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop proactive strategies for mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
Construction Operations:
- Lead the safety effort on all concrete projects, fostering a strong safety culture.
- Ensure crisis management plans are in place and well understood.
- Ensure all operations staff support and comply with the company standard operating procedures.
- Develop feedback loops to facilitate information sharing.
- Monitor KPIs, assess trends, and drive improvements as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 15+ years of experience in the construction/management services industry.
- Energetic, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Extensive experience and strong relationships with developers, designers, and subcontractors in this market.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
