Head of Construction Project Management
Houston, TX | Dallas, TX
Salary - $155,000 - $175,000 + 20% bonus
Our client is currently looking for a Director of Project Management to support a rapidly growing business unit across Texas.
The Director of Project Management will lead a team of Project Managers working on active projects with budgets up to ~$150M+ each.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk to propel strategic business goals.
Previous sales experience is required for this opportunity with frequent communication with customers to discuss new opportunities.
Job Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the financial performance of market, program, and client accounts, including budgeting, actual results, forecasting, and reporting. Responsible for billing (including documentation required for revenue recognition), accounts receivable (AR) collection, expense monitoring and control, staffing (including allocation, if applicable), and full P&L to EBITDA before all allocations
- Interacts regularly with client(s) to ensure that goals and objectives are established and achieved. Develops and implements action plans for accurate variances. Anticipates and responds to the client's needs and concerns
- Manages and leads project management staff in the market and ensures detailed staff understanding and implementation of operations, policies, and procedures. Formally supervises individual employees and/or subordinate supervisors. Responsible for identifying and tracking performance, coaching and training needs, and motivating direct reports and work groups. Directly or indirectly responsible for hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation for direct reports and work groups
- Directs all phases of project management, including procurement/contracting, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout phases of the project. Key focus areas include scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
Job Specifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction discipline or Construction.
- Must have knowledge of submitting written proposals, scopes of work, scheduling and coordinating site contractors and other assigned personnel; a thorough understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and operations and the ability to meet demanding customer requirements.
