Job Description:
VIBE Recruiting is on the lookout for a skilled Project Manager for a prestigious confidential client in the commercial plumbing sector. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in managing commercial construction projects, particularly in areas such as hotels, multi-family residences, and tenant improvements. We are seeking individuals who are self-driven, excel in collaborative environments, and are dedicated to achieving excellence in project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple project and crew schedules, including organizing appointments, job walks, and meetings, to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Coordinate effectively with General Contractors, Subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure optimal manpower allocation and timely material delivery.
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation progress, ensuring it aligns with plans and specifications, and maintain robust communication with clients.
- Draft and submit change orders and RFI's as necessary, ensuring clear communication with clients and vendors.
- Enforce strict safety standards in line with OSHA regulations and project-specific requirements.
- Maintain current and accessible project documentation, including drawings and specifications, for field personnel.
- Collaborate with the estimating team and senior project managers to ensure timely change order pricing and project adjustments.
- Negotiate quotes and manage orders with various vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors, and assist with material take-offs and purchase orders as needed.
- Contribute to budget preparation and financial reporting, including progress reports, profit projections, manpower requirements, and other related financials.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience in commercial plumbing, with specific focus on hotels, multi-family housing, and tenant improvements.
- Proven supervisory and team leadership experience in construction, with a minimum of 10 years in a supervisory role.
- Over 5 years of project management experience, with a track record of successful large-scale commercial construction project delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Construction Accounting Software
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
