Job Description
Iron Horse Companies is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced General Manager to lead and expand our mechanical and plumbing service division. This is a high-impact leadership role, perfect for someone with a strong background in mechanical and plumbing service operations who thrives in business development, operations management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations, growth, and profitability of the mechanical and plumbing service division.
- Develop and execute business strategies to expand market presence and secure new projects & clients.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to service managers, field supervisors, and field staff.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Drive process improvements, efficiency, and quality control across all projects.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set company goals, budgets, and operational plans.
- Monitor industry trends and opportunities for business expansion.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical and/or plumbing service, with at least 5+ years in a leadership or management role in the service industry
- Strong understanding of project management, estimating, and business development in the construction industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive business growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with construction software, scheduling tools, and financial reporting.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong client and industry relationships.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
