Exceed Electrical Contracting is Hiring Electrical Journeymen in our Austin Division!

Responsibilities will include:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution, power, lighting, control systems.
Quality electrical installation and mechanical tasks.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Understanding of local electrical codes and regulations.
Review and plan appropriate material procurement for assigned task.
Assist field supervisors relay daily tasks, plan material needs, and assist apprentices with questions or concerns they have.
Lead apprentices by demonstrating installation in a workmanlike manor, reinforce NEC requirements, and keep safe work practices as the highest priority.
Lead by example in a professional workmanlike manor, represent the company professionally and set a polished example for all apprentices.

Role Description:

This is a full time on-site position for a Journeyman Electrician. The role requires the candidate to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of industry codes and regulations related to the trade and will be responsible for ensuring all installations meet these standards.

Salary: $33.00- 38.00 per hour

Qualifications:

Active Journeyman license
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
Must have a driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Must be able to work full time and overtime if required.
Understanding of local electrical codes and regulations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to complete projects on time and within budget.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Adapts to scope of work depending on size of project.
Ability to represent the company in high level discussions with GC, ownership group and project investors.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
