Responsibilities will include:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution, power, lighting, control systems.
- Quality electrical installation and mechanical tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Understanding of local electrical codes and regulations.
- Review and plan appropriate material procurement for assigned task.
- Assist field supervisors relay daily tasks, plan material needs, and assist apprentices with questions or concerns they have.
- Lead apprentices by demonstrating installation in a workmanlike manor, reinforce NEC requirements, and keep safe work practices as the highest priority.
- Lead by example in a professional workmanlike manor, represent the company professionally and set a polished example for all apprentices.
Role Description:
This is a full time on-site position for a Journeyman Electrician. The role requires the candidate to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of industry codes and regulations related to the trade and will be responsible for ensuring all installations meet these standards.
Salary: $35.00- 40.00 per hour
Qualifications:
- Active Journeyman license
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
- Must have a driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work full time and overtime if required.
- Understanding of local electrical codes and regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- Adapts to scope of work depending on size of project.
- Ability to represent the company in high level discussions with GC, ownership group and project investors.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
