Air Distribution Technologies is seeking a Drafter to bring precision and innovation to our data center projects. This role is perfect for a drafting professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering high-quality designs. With a focus on AutoCAD expertise, project coordination, and technical problem-solving, the ideal candidate will ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
How You'll Do It:
- Create detailed drawings of data center components, including parts and assemblies, using proper selection of scales, dimensioning, detailed views, sectional views orthographic projects from sketches, layout or verbal instruction (such as piping isometrics, machining drawings)
- Utilize AutoCAD to develop layouts and technical drawings based on sketches, layouts, or verbal instructions.
- Maintain and organize the CAD database, including archiving completed projects.
- Optimize CAD system performance by managing disk-to-disk file transfers and ensuring seamless system operation.
- Write macro language programs to streamline CAD processes, reducing manual inputs for repetitive tasks.
- Prepare Bills of Materials and prelists using a computerized BOM system.
- Manage and document all communications with representatives and customers.
- Interpret and analyze blueprints accurately to support project needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support project goals.
What We're Looking For:
- A technical degree in drafting, engineering, or a related field is required.
- 2 - 5 years of hands-on drafting experience with AutoCAD in a professional setting.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality.
