The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising and conducting plan reviews and inspections for a wide range of plumbing installations equipment, and appliances to verify compliance with the Seminole Tribe Building Code (STBC), which is based on the current Florida Building Code.
The individual inspects, plans, assigns, and directs work of inspectors and examiners; ensures assigned staff engages in reviewing, inspecting, and testing of plumbing installations, equipment, and appliances according to specifications and codes; reviews plans prior to issuance of a mechanical permit; and works with contractors, builders, and owners regarding approval/disapproval of plans.
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associate’s degree preferred. State of Florida certified or County Registered as a Plumbing Contractor is required. State of Florida Standard Building Inspector(Plumbing) License is required. State of Florida Standard Plans Examiner (Plumbing) is required. A minimum of five (5) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience with a working knowledge of architecture and engineering in the areas of plumbing systems.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including English written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Possession of a valid and active Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all STOF Reservations is required. Able to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
