Job Summary:
Fuse3 Solutions is working with a valued client seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join their team in Austin, Texas. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and improving their safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of safety within their civil construction projects. This role is integral to supporting their field operations, particularly in utility construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with foremen to implement and enforce safety protocols effectively.
- Maintain and utilize safety checklists to monitor adherence to project-specific safety requirements.
- Review and analyze safety logs, records, and incident reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide advanced safety training and guidance to employees to promote awareness and adherence to safety practices.
- Investigate and resolve safety-related issues promptly and effectively to minimize risks.
- Develop and update safety policies and procedures tailored to civil construction, utility trenching, and excavation projects.
- Ensure all equipment and tools meet safety standards before use.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably within civil construction, utility trenching, or excavation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to work effectively with foremen, crews, and management.
- Proven ability to resolve safety-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Proficiency in maintaining safety documentation and preparing reports.
- Valid driver’s license; eligible for a truck allowance or company-provided vehicle.
