Facilities Manager - Job Description
Pine Lake Country Club is searching for a qualified Facilities Manager to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean and safe. The Facilities Manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff (maintenance and housekeeping). Our ideal candidate must be well-versed in facilities management processes and exhibits high multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
Objectives of this role
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
- Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
- Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
- Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
Responsibilities
- Delegate cleaning and maintenance responsibilities to team members
- This position directly impacts the experience of all Club members and staff by ensuring a structurally safe, exceptionally clean, and highly maintained positive environment
- Attend scheduled management meetings to give project updates, review maintenance requests, and make recommendations for future projects
- Monitor interior and exterior areas of building for cleanliness and general conservation
- Hires, trains, and supervises maintenance and housekeeping personnel
- Schedules hours of work for department staff
- Schedules workloads and work orders for all areas of the club and its equipment
- Coordinates with purchasing department to procure parts and items needed for maintenance, completion of work orders and general department supplies
- Prepares and monitors budgets for the engineering department; takes corrective action as needed to help assure that budget goals are attained
- Oversees daily water checks on swimming and whirlpool water and filtering system for positive health protection; supervises maintenance of pool facility
- Controls key systems
- Works with planners and coordinates remodeling of club areas
- Maintains an on-going energy management program for the property’s HVAC and lighting systems
- Assists in checking fire protection systems for proper operation and training personnel for usage
- Manages the club’s on-going preventive maintenance program for HVAC, electrical, plumbing,
- roofing, elevators, and all club buildings
- Maintains a log for all equipment repairs
- Serves as liaison between club and regulatory agencies including health and safety inspections and city building department
- Suggests cost-saving alternatives applicable to maintenance and engineering responsibilities
- Conducts periodic inspections of engineering-related facilities
- Interacts with outside contractors
- Helps develop short- and long-term requirements for repair and maintenance, capital replacement and capital requirements
- Schedules or responds to maintenance requests from managers or employees
- Develops and monitors maintenance checklists
- Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies
- Assures that OSHA work requirements are met and that MSDS’s are available
- Attends staff meetings; conducts departmental meetings
- Completes other appropriate tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager
Skills and qualifications
- Advanced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills
- Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
- Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Great leadership and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential, or equivalent
- Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional leadership experience
- Strong attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
