Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including security systems, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage technology and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Install and configure low voltage systems such as alarm systems, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide recommendations for security solutions.
- Utilize remote access software for system diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients through excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during installations.
- Document all work performed, including system configurations and maintenance activities.
Skills
- Proficiency in installing and servicing alarm systems and security systems.
- Experience with fire alarm detection systems.
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring techniques and practices.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
