Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial settings. The HVAC Installer will be responsible for ensuring all systems are properly installed and functioning according to industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install HVAC Systems: Perform installations of HVAC equipment such as air conditioning units, furnaces, heat pumps, and other related systems for commercial projects.
- System Setup and Testing: Ensure proper setup of equipment, including ductwork, wiring, and connections, while conducting tests to ensure efficient and safe system operation.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect existing systems, diagnose issues, and recommend necessary upgrades or repairs. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure systems operate at peak performance.
- Customer Communication: Interact with clients to assess their HVAC needs, provide recommendations, and offer expert advice regarding system maintenance and energy efficiency.
- Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and the team.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete job orders, timesheets, and required paperwork accurately. Maintain records of equipment installations and service calls.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with heating and cooling systems, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other installers, service technicians, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation or related field.
- Licensing: Valid HVAC certification or licensure. EPA certification for handling refrigerants is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, refrigeration, and control systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in tight spaces, and endure physical demands of the job, including bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
