HVAC-Facilities Assistant
The Opportunity:
Rio Grande is seeking a facilities/HVAC Assistant to join our team and help maintain our 186,000 square foot building. Inspect the current equipment, identify problems, and perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance when required. You will install new replacement systems as needed working on rooftop package units and some mini split systems. You will assist your team members with plumbing, remodeling, and general repairs as needed. You will work on a team that prides itself on learning new skills, taking on new responsibilities.
What You'll Do:
- Remodeling tasks
- Keeping the building in proper repair
- Coordinate maintenance activities on the HVAC units
- Manage small projects and collaborate on large projects
- Light Plumbing
- Light Painting
What You'll Need:
- 3 years previous experience with general maintenance or other related fields.
- 5 years HVAC
- Familiarity with handheld tools and equipment.
- Comfortable with working to scheduled timelines
- Detail-oriented
- Basic computer skills
Licenses:
Physical Demands:
- Ability to bend and reach, lift, and carry 50 lbs
- Ability to handle physical work.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, and arm movements, and remain on your feet for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Working on rooftop units
Schedule:
- Rotating shift scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Work off hours if needed

Within our 186,000 sq. ft., solar-powered facility, with covered parking, Rio Grande has sales, marketing, supply chain, IT and administrative offices, a climate-controlled distribution center with more than 40,000 items, and a comprehensive, well-equipped manufacturing operation. Manufactured products include jewelry-making equipment (from basic tools to highly sophisticated induction casting machines) and jewelry components—both die-struck and cast. Capabilities include CAD/CAM, casting, stamp and form, metal finishing, CNC machining, manual milling, tool & die and electronics/mechanical assembly.

Pay: $55,360.00 - $66,700.00 per year
