Job Description: The Commercial Plumbing Service Manager works with the Branch Manager to assist in the overall day-to-day management of projects, including all requisite duties such as setting up the project, field communication, customer communication, reporting, managing manpower, and billing daily jobs and activities.
Job Duties:
Work with the branch manager to evaluate technician performance and value to the company.
Participate in hiring new technicians and ensuring current staff is adequately trained for the tasks given daily.
Participate in technician evaluations and terminations.
Work with dispatcher and aftermarket sales to maintain current workload.
Quote and sell projects as needed.
Arrange training for technicians.
Give safety talks monthly.
Review tickets daily as completed by technicians.
Give technical assistance to technicians as needed.
Receive parts upon delivery at the branch location and notify the originator as needed.
Work with the branch manager on customer issues to best support Southern Air.
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Capable of performing other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Detailed knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing and piping.
Minimum Journeyman Plumbing Card, preferably Master Certification.
Backflow Certification.
Knowledge of Code.
Minimum ten years’ service experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
Computer proficient (MS Office – Word, Excel).
Ability to work independently and to complete assignments within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e., DMV, criminal history).
