Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on refrigerated trailer units (reefers) to ensure optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and electrical components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to identify potential issues and avoid breakdowns.
- Repair or replace defective parts using tools, technical manuals, and equipment-specific knowledge.
- Maintain accurate service records, including repair logs and inspection reports, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards while working on refrigeration systems, tools, and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing refrigerated units or related systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues related to refrigeration systems.
- Working knowledge of EPA regulations and safe handling of refrigerants; EPA certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments, including outdoors and in tight spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,200.00 - $93,600.00 per year
