About us
Our manufacturing company is seeking a 2nd shift industrial maintenance supervisor for our plant. The maintenance supervisor oversees and performs repairs to systems and components, troubleshoots, inspects and completes service requests and oversees preventive maintenance in an efficient and timely manner for the needs and safety of guests, staff, and contractors. We are looking for a maintenance supervisor who is mechanically and electrically skilled to ensure our plant is maintained and operating in terms of quality, environmental, health and safety. This is not a janitorial or custodial position. Training will be up to 3 months.
An assessment test will be given during the interview process.
***All interviews are conducted on site to include a facility tour. Interviews are conducted Mon-Fri, 9a-4p. Available dates and times for interview must be provided.***
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day and long-term maintenance of SUN POLYMERS International, Inc.
· Run service calls, repair plumbing, electric, mechanical, carpentry and various types of equipment repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
· Maintain proper scheduling of assigned duties and obtain materials to perform cost effective maintenance and repair activity.
· Report issues, problems or items affecting (or potentially affecting) proper and safe operation of equipment.
· Prioritize assigned maintenance work to properly execute emergency and/or mechanical failure response.
· Maintain proper documentation of all assigned maintenance policies, procedures and schematics. Maintain proper electronic recordkeeping of maintenance work orders etc.
· Maintain acceptable log of planned and executed maintenance activity.
· Maintain positive working relationship with staff, vendors, suppliers, contractors and other persons associated with SUN POLYMERS International, Inc.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
· High School diploma or GED required
· At least 5 years of recent related experience (Industrial Maintenance)
· Knowledge in the following trades: Mechanical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical, and stainless steel welding
· Demonstrate ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on factory equipment
· Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment, i.e.; forklifts
· Ability to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment
· Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues
· Attention to detail
· Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions
· Works efficiently and manages time effectively
· Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Familiarity with Upkeep a plus
· Strong communication skills; ability to speak, read, and write English
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
