The Space Management Lead will play a critical role in overseeing facility space management initiatives and ensuring alignment with ICE program missions and requirements. This role demands expertise in ICE space management processes, procedures, and systems, as well as a proven ability to deliver complex, mission-critical facility projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead facility space management efforts, ensuring compliance with ICE processes and procedures.
- Develop and review architectural, interior design, and engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Plan, design, and oversee construction projects that meet specialized mission requirements.
- Assess and manage space requests and requirements against allocation and utilization criteria.
- Create and manage space and furniture plans to optimize facility use.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure facility projects align with ICE program missions and objectives.
- Supervise and mentor team members to maintain high work standards and performance.
- Education:
- Degree in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited university.
- Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience managing facility projects with specialized mission requirements, including planning, design, and construction.
- Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Experience developing space plans, furniture plans, and managing space requests in compliance with allocation and utilization criteria.
- Familiarity with reviewing architectural, interior design, and engineering plans.
- Certifications:
- Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or an equivalent institution; or Professional Engineer (PE) license or Architectural Registration (license).
- Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth understanding of ICE space management systems and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, mission-enabling facility projects on time and within budget.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
