You must be skilled in several trades such as doors, door frames, hinges, closers, woodwork, window trim, drywall patching, sealing, painting, tile repairs etc. Strong general maintenance and repair technique knowledge is a must!
JOB IS 80% NIGHTWORK
We are looking for a skilled HANDYMAN Repair Technicians that can handle all types of commercial handyman repairs and installation on a daily basis and that are ok with driving across the Tampa Bay/Orlando/Miami/Naples areas.
Here is what you need to qualify (DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE THESE!):
- You must have your own truck or van and your own tools
- You must have your company documents, liability insurance and at least a work comp exempt form. THIS MEANS YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING (Do not apply unless you have all of these):
1. STATE OF FLORIDA COMPANY DOCUMENTS
2. A EIN NUMBER FROM THE IRS
3. LIABILITY INSURANCE
4. A CURRENT WORK COMP EXEMPT OR POLICY
5. A COMPANY BANK ACCOUNT
6. CURRENT BUSINESS AUTO INSURANCE
1. You must be experienced in the field, reliable, a self starter with a great attitude and people friendly.
2. You must be skilled in several trades such as doors, door frames, hinges, closers, woodwork, window trim, drywall patching, sealing, painting, tile repairs etc. Strong general maintenance and repair technique knowledge is a must!
3. Have basic tools and be proficient in the use of power and hand tools
4. Clean VALID drivers license
5. Must be motivated
6. Must be willing to work out of town some days and weeks when needed (per diem paid), nice accommodations provided.
7. Must be available for emergency on-call issues.
8. Must be able to learn how to use multiple work order systems and be able to post information and pictures from every repair.
9. This is a full-time position with night and day schedule that changes constantly so you must be able to adjust to the schedule and overtime is possible. Candidate must be self-motivated, able to work independently and have a positive, can-do attitude.
PAYOUT FOR SUB CONTRACTORS
- We pay weekly on Thursday nights vis add payroll service electronic funds transfer so no waiting for your check.
- All pay for sub contractors is based on a per job or task basis.
- You will be required to use our work order systems for posting job notes and pictures daily.
Please Note:
We work for national restaurant brands so a lot of our work is overnight after the restaurants closes. This means we travel a lot through out Florida. That traveling can be a day, multiple days or a week at a time. You will be paid weekly and all funds are electronic transfer so you don't have to wait on a check each week. We also supply all materials but you will pick them up which is why you need your own truck or van if you are a sub contractor.
ALSO- We do run background checks, so if you have a criminal record please be upfront with us. We all make mistakes, and we are willing to work with you provided you are open and honest with us. This is a drug free workplace!
