Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols. The Solar Installer will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure high-quality installations that meet industry standards.
Duties
- Install solar panels on rooftops and ground mounts, ensuring compliance with local codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Collaborate with electricians to connect solar systems to the electrical grid, including wiring and inverter installation.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine installation requirements.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety regulations.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate roof conditions and structural integrity for solar panel installations.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in training new team members on installation techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to carry 50+ lbs and work in an outdoor environment.
Experience
- Previous experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with roof installations and construction site operations is essential.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical systems.
- Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required for successful installations.
- Must have experience with Enphase and Solaredge inverters.
- Experience with Enphase Encharge and Tesla Powerwall installation experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
