Altruistic AC & Heating is a locally owned HVAC company that provides professional heating, air conditioning, and indoor air quality services across the Austin area.
The person in this role will need to be self-motivated, friendly and a master at problem solving. This person must have a positive, can-do attitude who always puts the client first. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, product knowledge and an aptitude to handle multiple projects simultaneously while staying organized and on task with little supervision.
Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units – inclusive of mechanical and electrical system components – while in the field.
- Provide on-call emergency service (as needed) and maintain communication with the department manager.
- Educate customers on preventative maintenance and safety regulations.
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly, and professional customer service to clients in person and over the phone.
- Manage completion of service tickets/calls and work logs for every job.
- Maintain records of training and expenses (as applicable).
- Responsible for regular maintenance of company vehicle including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, washing vehicle, and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form.
- Travel to job sites, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated.
- Respect and comply with all company procedures and safety rules.
- Maintain accurate time records and submit to payroll when required.
- This position occasionally requires work on evenings/weekends during the busy season. Schedule will be on a rotation.
Skills & Requirements:
· 3-5 years’ experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting diverse HVAC system and service issues.
· Strong analytical skills with precise attention to detail.
· Ability to work quickly, independently and ensuring on the job accuracy.
· Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with the desire to exceed client satisfaction.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Valid social security number.
· Be able to lift up to 70 pounds - push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier equipment.
· Ability to carry ladders, work from heights and within small spaces (crawl spaces, attics, etc.).
· Must be willing/able to pass drug test(s) as required by company.
· Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Location: Majority in the field - with office/shop time as needed for meetings, equipment, tool replacements, etc.
Hours: 8:00am-5:30pm CT weekdays (and some weekends as needed)
